Blake Hornsby

KELLI FRANCES CORRADO is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, a quilt of memories and mysticism. Growing up in Chicago, she would sneak out during school nights to see hip hop shows and spend Sundays learning prayer rituals taught by a Bohemian Czech grandmother. This set a unique musical foundation leading her to pursue opera training, string arranger, beat making and classical poetry. Giving voice to her spiritual beliefs, she has lived many lives before putting her heart in song: social worker, student, tap dancer, teacher, wanderer. Living in the Black Forest, London and by the sea, using weird and wonderful places to record: a seaplane port, boat house, warehouse with six second reverb, and an old school from the 1900s, these patches of experience bring together a musical broth of magical realism and urban life ripe of lucid dreams and superstition.

On Big Dumb Riffs, that screw is cranked incredibly tight.“We just wanted ‘the part’: The opening of Pantera’s ‘Primal Concrete Sledge’, the breakdown in Primus’ ‘Pudding Time’ — the shit that makes you move and lose your mind. Just that part the whole time.”Hot on the heels of their breakout 5th studio release Doom Wop (2023), Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol returns with Big Dumb Riffs: A whole new variant of the fuzzed out, overdriven, melodic, groovy music they have been making since 2016. While Big Dumb Riffs is decidedly more aggressive and rhythmic, it still retains the overtly melodic feel of Doom Wop. But Leo Lydon’s vocals are considerably more angry and negative (song titles like “1-800-EAT-SHIT” and “Body Bag” should be a clue.)“The whole writing process was, ‘what if we just played two notes the whole song’,” Metzdorf says. “‘What if we tuned down to almost unusable string tension?’, ‘what if we write a record that will make everyone say ‘wow that is dumb’? Leo and I really move around on stage a lot. Being a dingus is crucial to the groove. All these riffs were designed to allow us to act bigger and dumber on stage.”

Ora Cogan's smoky, psychedelic approach to gothic country merges with post-punk, psych-rock and traditional balladry. Cogan is known for her singular voice and cinematic compositions. She has collaborated with a multitude of artists while touring extensively throughout Europe & North America, sharing the stage with the likes of Grouper & Mazzy Star. Her new album, Formless, came out to critical acclaim in 2023.

JULIE ODELL is an Asheville by way of New Orleans singer-songwriter. Her music is folky, dreamy, and soulful, marked by her powerful, peculiar vocals, detailed textures, and an instinct for immediate songcraft. Her songs are complex and multifaceted, in part because they don’t follow expected trajectories or settle into long stretches of even-keeled languor. “Internally I always feel either really chaotic or really calm,” Odell says. “So, it’s a lot of really loud, fast-paced stuff, and then it’ll shrink down to really quiet delicate things. I’m obsessed with dynamics.” Odell wanted to be a meteorologist when she was a kid, chasing tornadoes in a van with all her friends. Although she chose a life as an artist instead, she reckons she’s chasing musical tornadoes, since her songs are wispy, unpredictable beasts.

 is one of the biggest rock 'n' roll attractions in the country. Over the past two years, they have amassed a large local following and their shows have a reputation as must-see spectaculars.Describing themselves as like "Menudo on drugs," Davila 666 combine Stooges-like garage rock fire with the occasional sugary pop melody. 

Their theatrical live show -- which includes themes, props, costumes, and dancers -- won them fans in the States when they toured with the Black Lips and the King Khan & BBQ Show.

 - After the 2019 release of their debut LP, “SMVT,” Las Nubes took a hiatus from releasing music to tour and participate in recording sessions all over the U.S. and Mexico. The group performed with artists like Shannon and the Clams, Jens Lekman, The Coathangers, Sheer Mag, Mark Sultan, Torche and Alice Bag. 

They also backed Iggy Pop in the legendary performer’s first all-female lineup of The Stooges.“Las Nubes are far and away the hottest band in Miami, and the most socially relevant,” said Iggy Pop in a provided news release. “Like the children and the young at heart across North and South America, they rock from the soul, covered in tattoos and attitude. They represent an uncompromising lifestyle trend that is the future. They’re f - - - ing loud, too.”

An American singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he's perhaps best known for his solo albums as well as for having been a member of the band Deerhoof between 2002 and 2006.

 is best described as whatever music Caleb Cordes is making, which means Sinai Vessel has worn many different hats. For a period of time, Sinai Vessel was a three-piece band, charging ahead with Cordes’s howled vocals, crunchy electric guitars and broad angst on 2017’s 

 It was a critical breakthrough, so naturally Cordes disassembled the band, moved to Nashville in 2019 and decided to do a sonic 180. On 2020’s 

, Sinai Vessel was reintroduced as an indie folk project that had more in common with the sparse narratives of Allegra Krieger than the dense emo of the Hotelier. “It’s always been whatever my impulse leads me to do,” explains Cordes. “Because that’s been the precedent, it’s hard for me to change it.” 

Cordes started Sinai Vessel at 16, and the project remains the direct extension of his musical whims and emotional insights.
