 began Dogs on Shady Lane in 2018 as an independent creative exploration. Dogs on Shady Lane has since grown to include Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist 

 (drums) as of 2020. The now 4-piece band is known to create a dynamic yet intimate sonic live show — playing shows frequently in both RI & NYC scenes.

To experience Justin R. Cruz Gallego’s pulverizing Sub Pop debut is to get burned down to ashes and burst forth, born anew. Grim Iconic...(Sadistic Mantra), the Tacoma-based artist’s second album, is driven by opposing forces: noisy abstractions and tightly structured beats, anguish and dissolution at the outside world and empowerment within, apathy and catharsis. Grim Iconic...(Sadistic Mantra) weds scouring electronics to hooky songs and Gallego’s powerful drumming in a way that feels visceral and new. It’s his most personal statement to date, at once playful and intent, driven and combustible, total fucking chaos mixed into glints of broken-glass beauty.

Born in Tucson, Arizona, Gallego experienced culture shock as a child after relocating to the frigid climes of the Pacific Northwest. He found solace in the Seattle punk scene centered around Iron Lung Records and has since remained a fixture in the underground community.

“I see this record as first and foremost a musical statement,” Gallego says. “I grew up in punk and DIY subcultures, but before that I had Latin music playing in the background through my childhood and every phase of adolescence. It was surprisingly natural to incorporate. I realized I wanted to go deeper into these rhythms. I wanted to make a record that felt as experimental as much as it felt from the perspective of a Latino. When I got a glimmer of that possibility, it felt exciting.”

 is best described as whatever music Caleb Cordes is making, which means Sinai Vessel has worn many different hats. For a period of time, Sinai Vessel was a three-piece band, charging ahead with Cordes’s howled vocals, crunchy electric guitars and broad angst on 2017’s 

 It was a critical breakthrough, so naturally Cordes disassembled the band, moved to Nashville in 2019 and decided to do a sonic 180. On 2020’s 

, Sinai Vessel was reintroduced as an indie folk project that had more in common with the sparse narratives of Allegra Krieger than the dense emo of the Hotelier. “It’s always been whatever my impulse leads me to do,” explains Cordes. “Because that’s been the precedent, it’s hard for me to change it.” 

Cordes started Sinai Vessel at 16, and the project remains the direct extension of his musical whims and emotional insights.

 is a psychedelic pop-rock band from Mexico City. In 2019, the group of musicians decided to get together to write songs, releasing a set of singles a year after that would place them as one of top rising acts of the Mexican alternative rock scene. These songs became their self-titled debut LP, released in October 2021. This 2024, the band is back with a new album, which they’ll be realizing through the Spanish label Sonido Muchacho.

Petite Amie's music is characterized by sweet vocals from the two vocalists, who sing in French and Spanish, acoustic guitars, enveloping synthesizers, fuzzy guitar solos and prominent drums. As such, the band fluctuates between different genres, based on psychedelic pop-rock. Their main influences include classics such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and more recent sounds such as Big Thief, Magic Potion, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Crumb.

 - After a series of releases under his own name, Michael Flynn returned to the Slow Runner moniker and continued his exploration into eclectic pop sub-genres that span from dreamy synth to confessional folk, stopping at every point of interest in between. 2024 heralds the release of 'Yesterday Don't Fail Me Now,' Michael's ninth full length album altogether. Called ‘a pioneering solo artist’ by American Songwriter, with ‘songs as catchy as they are clever’ (Relix magazine), Slow Runner continues his evolution as a standout writer and performer still evolving nearly two decades into a fruitful career.

KELLI FRANCES CORRADO is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, a quilt of memories and mysticism. Growing up in Chicago, she would sneak out during school nights to see hip hop shows and spend Sundays learning prayer rituals taught by a Bohemian Czech grandmother. This set a unique musical foundation leading her to pursue opera training, string arranger, beat making and classical poetry. Giving voice to her spiritual beliefs, she has lived many lives before putting her heart in song: social worker, student, tap dancer, teacher, wanderer. Living in the Black Forest, London and by the sea, using weird and wonderful places to record: a seaplane port, boat house, warehouse with six second reverb, and an old school from the 1900s, these patches of experience bring together a musical broth of magical realism and urban life ripe of lucid dreams and superstition.

Just that part the whole time.”Hot on the heels of their breakout 5th studio release Doom Wop (2023), Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol returns with Big Dumb Riffs: A whole new variant of the fuzzed out, overdriven, melodic, groovy music they have been making since 2016. While Big Dumb Riffs is decidedly more aggressive and rhythmic, it still retains the overtly melodic feel of Doom Wop. But Leo Lydon’s vocals are considerably more angry and negative (song titles like “1-800-EAT-SHIT” and “Body Bag” should be a clue.)“The whole writing process was, ‘what if we just played two notes the whole song’,” Metzdorf says. “‘What if we tuned down to almost unusable string tension?’, ‘what if we write a record that will make everyone say ‘wow that is dumb’? Leo and I really move around on stage a lot. Being a dingus is crucial to the groove. All these riffs were designed to allow us to act bigger and dumber on stage.”

Ora Cogan's smoky, psychedelic approach to gothic country merges with post-punk, psych-rock and traditional balladry. Cogan is known for her singular voice and cinematic compositions. She has collaborated with a multitude of artists while touring extensively throughout Europe & North America, sharing the stage with the likes of Grouper & Mazzy Star. Her new album, Formless, came out to critical acclaim in 2023.

JULIE ODELL is an Asheville by way of New Orleans singer-songwriter. Her music is folky, dreamy, and soulful, marked by her powerful, peculiar vocals, detailed textures, and an instinct for immediate songcraft. Her songs are complex and multifaceted, in part because they don’t follow expected trajectories or settle into long stretches of even-keeled languor. “Internally I always feel either really chaotic or really calm,” Odell says. “So, it’s a lot of really loud, fast-paced stuff, and then it’ll shrink down to really quiet delicate things. I’m obsessed with dynamics.” Odell wanted to be a meteorologist when she was a kid, chasing tornadoes in a van with all her friends. Although she chose a life as an artist instead, she reckons she’s chasing musical tornadoes, since her songs are wispy, unpredictable beasts.
