Drawn - Layne Garrett (guitar) and Nate Scheible (drums). Based in Washington DC, NS and LG have played together in many configurations including the art-rock band DRAWN and various ad hoc ensembles. As a duo, their music is rooted largely in free improvisation, exploring timbre, repetition, intuition, physicality, abstraction. Nate has released music on Outside Time and Warm Winters Ltd; former affiliations include Mock Identity, Scarcity of Tanks, and Self Destruct Button. Layne plays in Weed Tree and other projects, and is program director of the community arts space Rhizome DC.
