Like other Texas luminaries Doug Sahm and Billy Joe Shaver, Aubrey's lyricism combine heart felt sincerity with self reflective humor. Modular synth Wizard Jared Hooker gives the music a sophisticated, harmonic language, creating the perfect backdrop for Andy Burns' incendiary lead guitar. Drummer Joe Exposito and bassist Steve Streit dutifully serve the song providing a firm back bone to these rock 'n' roll gems.
