Mopar Stars - indie rock / power pop from Philly

Blimps - In a blistering August heat, Blimps was born out of two lifelong friends’ desire to bring true rock back to a sleepy South Carolina town. In the weeks that followed, songwriters Rocky Mercer (bass) and Colin Musolf (guitar) began recording their shambling pop tunes to 8-track cassette tape. Joined by childhood chum Slade Shirah (drums) to realize their rock dreams on stage, now they make their move on the world. With sugary sweet hooks adorned with dreamy harmonies and blazing tone blasting from shredded solos, Blimps pushes their polished pop sensibility while striking a power chord with slackers everywhere.
