Sage Rats operate as a fully independent band and release their music through their own imprint, SRF Tapes. 
Sage Rats are a garage pop and 90s indie rock band from Portland, Oregon. Their music features melodic, Beatles-inspired sounds reminiscent of 90s indie acts like Sparklehorse, Silver Jews, and Elliott Smith.

Landon George (b. 1995) is a multi-instrumentalist and musical interloper living in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. His music ranges from experimental electronic endeavors to traditional Appalachian ballad singing to intimate original folk songs. An explorer at heart, George may be found drumming in a free improvised unit, playing tuba in an early jazz second line ensemble, or slapping the upright bass in a country blues band. 

International appearances by George include a month long tour in China with Yiannese traditional band, Manhu, and festivals in Indonesia and the Netherlands. His current projects include multiple releases on several US labels including COPYRIGHT420, Pink Lady Apple House, and George’s own label, SORSE. In addition to releasing music under his own name, Landon George has released music under the aliases Dosha, Lil’ Nothing Man and The JavaScript Family Band.

Jacob Toedtman (who often goes by Jake) is an experimental multi-media artist and creates his work out of his home studio.  His work is heavily inspired by low-fidelity, self-made cassette subcultures. He explicitly focuses on the unique textures, frustrations, and deep satisfaction of tracking music entirely by and for himself. Rather than using modern digital software, Toedtman shapes his sound using vintage, out-of-date gear. For example, he frequently layers multi-track compositions using older hardware like vintage synthesizers (e.g., the Kawai SX-240), legacy sampler delays, and old-school analog tape recorders like the Tascam 244.Atmospheric & Experimental Electronics: Because of his choice of physical gear, his tracks lean into warmth, tape hiss, and raw electronic experimentation.
